Kazbek Ascent – Georgia 2025

Kazbek ascent program

KAZBEK 5054m

July 21 – 29, 2025

Kazbek (Mkinvartsveri) is located in the majestic mountain range of the Caucasus, on the border of Georgia and Russia, and is one of the most iconic destinations for mountaineering and nature lovers. The area is known for its unique natural beauty, rich history, and culture.

It is believed to be the mountain where Prometheus was punished by the gods and chained to suffer eternally. The name “Mkinvartsveri” means “Frozen Peak” in Georgian, reflecting the constant presence of ice and snow.

The Gergeti Trinity Church (14th century), a symbol of Orthodox Christian heritage, stands at an altitude of 2,170 m.

Kazbek and the surrounding area offer a combination of natural beauty, culture, and adventure, making it one of the most unique destinations in the world.
