Mountaineering expedition to Aconcagua (6,962 m)

The Highest Mountain in the Americas

Aconcagua, located in the Argentine Andes, is the highest mountain in the Americas and is among the legendary Seven Summits of the world. Standing at 6,962 meters, it offers a unique climbing opportunity that is technically accessible via the northern route, as no specialized climbing equipment is required.

Geographical Information

• Location: Mendoza Province, Argentina
• Summit: 6,962 m
• Base Camp: Plaza de Mulas (4,370 m), the second largest in the world after Everest Base Camp.
• Nearest Village: Puente del Inca (2,740 m), a small community with a rich history.

Route Highlights

The northern route is the most accessible and popular, ideal for mountaineers who want to explore their limits at high altitudes. Although the path does not require ropes or other equipment, altitude is the main challenge, with air pressure at the summit being only 40% of that at sea level.
Preparation for the Trip
The ascent requires good physical condition, proper altitude acclimatization, and a well-organized acclimatization program. Mountaineering experience and professional guidance are essential for the safety and success of the expedition.
