Day 1 Saturday
We depart on Saturday morning from Volos at 7:00 AM for Elati. From here, through a fir forest, we ascend towards Bey’s Cave and a special place for relaxation. Then, aiming for 1750 m, we reach the refuge in a place straight out of a fairytale. Time for lunch and rest at the refuge. Dinner and discussion about our next excursions.
4-5 hours of hiking
Day 2 Sunday
Even before the sun makes its appearance, we are already enjoying breakfast with a view of Hatziapetros peak (Astrapi 1901m), which is our destination for today. From the peak, our gaze is lost in the Thessalian plain and the imposing rocks of Meteora. Return to the refuge for coffee, and then we continue to Pertouliotika meadows, where our small adventure concludes.
