Breakfast combined with the nicest view. On our way to Kastro we visit the fountain of Agios Dimitrios and the chapel of Agios Apostolos. After 2 ½ hours of walking, we arrive at the entrance of Kastro. Picnic at the Kastro beach. In the afternoon, we take the way back to Skiathos Town.
We stay overnight in a hotel in Skiathos.
Depature by taxi-boat or ferry boat for Skopelos port and arrival at our Hotel (Skopelos Town). After checking in, we start our walk to Agnontas beach and spend the day, having lunch or picnic and swimming under the Greek sun. In the afternoon we return to Skopelos Town.
We stay overnight in a hotel in Skopelos.
It’s time to visit Patitiri port, in Alonissos Island, the furthest east of the three main inhabited Sporades Islands and perhaps because of this more isolated position, it is also the quietest. We check in our rooms and walk to Chora, where we enjoy our lunch in the beautiful village. In the afternoon we visit Mikros Mourtias beach for swimming.
We stay overnight in a hotel in Alonissos.
Alonissos, its surrounding waters and minor islands, including Peristera, Kyra Panagia, Gioura, Psathoura, Piperi and Skantzoura, form the Alonissos Marine Park, the largest of its kind in Europe. Established in 1992, its 2,250km2 is home to a fascinating variety of flora, fauna, marine life (including Mediterranean monk seals), archaeological ruins and unspoiled natural beauty. By boat we enter the Marine Park, and we take a short walk on the island of Kyra Panagia and Peristera. We return back to Alonissos island and stay the night in a hotel.
Return to Volos city by ferry boat. Arrival at the port of Volos (5 hours). Check in to the hotel. It’s time to enjoy ourselves in the beautiful city of Volos (Ancient city of Iolkos). Volos port is the third biggest port of Greece, and also the port from where Jason and the Argonauts sailed with Argo, in order to go to Colchis and reclaim the Golden Fleece, according to Greek mythology. We stay overnight in a hotel in Volos.
The end of Trekking Sporades. Transfer to the airport, with a lot of new experiences and places.
We travel by our own mini-bus, or local buses, which continues with our luggage, during our hike, to the next place where we will stay for the night.
Hotels in the cities, village pensions or youth hostels throughout the trip (all with private facilities). The trip prices are based on double occupancy.
Every morning we have breakfast in the hotels, picnic lunch en route and dinner at local taverns. (Vegetarians are welcome on the trips, too).
