Day 1: Friday
We depart on Friday afternoon from Volos at 5:00 PM for Mikro Papigo at the foot of Astraka at an altitude of 960m. We arrive and get ready to enjoy our wine with a view of the imposing Towers of Astraka.
Overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 2: Saturday
Early in the morning, after our hearty breakfast, we pack the essentials and start our hike through the beech forest, later transitioning to firs and pines, leading us to the Astraka refuge at 1950m. A short rest at the refuge and we continue our journey to the highest lake in Greece, Drakolimni. We return for lunch at the refuge and then continue our descent to Papigo.

Day 3: Sunday, September 17
Breakfast with a view of the Towers of Astraka and then we head to the village of Vikos. From here, we descend to the sources of Voidomatis for swimming, relaxation, and a picnic. The return to Vikos via the same route reminds us that the village’s stairs are a nice challenge when climbing.
3 hours of hiking
