Mount Olympus offers a breathtaking view and an experience of a lifetime!

1st day:

We meet our guide in Litochoro square and with our minibus we arrive at Gortsia, from where we begin our hike, at an altitude of 1.120 meters.

The route from Gortsia to Petrostrougka refuge (1.940m) and finally to Platuae of Muses (2680m), is the most frequented hiking path on Mount Olympus.

The first half of the route is through a thick forest of pine, beech and fir trees.

After a small break in the Petrostrougka refuge we continue to Skourta peak (2485m), where the alpine landscape begins, with a stunning view in all directions. It is from this point that a very narrow ridge called Laimos (neck) begins and leads us to Giosos Apostolidis Refuge where we spent our night.

The same day, in the afternoon we hike to Profitis Ilias (2.803 m), to enjoy the amazing sunset view and then dinner at our refuge.

Overnight at the refuge.

Walking time: 5 – 6 hours

2nd day:

We wake up early, enjoy our breakfast with the amazing view of Stefani and according to participants fitness and weather conditions, we climb the main summit – Mytikas (2918m) or Skala (2.882m). After reaching the summit we descent by crossing spectacular precipice under the summit of Stefani – the throne of Zeus (Zonaria) until the main path that leads us to Spilios Agapitos in 2100m altitude, where we have our lunch and relaxing time.

From this point on, the end of our hiking tour is near. Our final destination is Prionia 1100m (2 – 3 hrs. walking), from where we are transferred back to Litochoro village.
