Climbing in Pelion – the Climbing Fields of Pelion

Climbing in Pelion

Greece, with 87% of its mainland being mountainous, is a top global destination for climbing enthusiasts. Climbing is the activity where we ascend rocks, snow, or ice with steep inclines, requiring the use of both feet and hands for progression. The difficulty of a climbing route depends on the slope of the field, its quality, but mainly on the number and size of holds and footholds. Climbing is divided into subtypes such as: free, sport, solo, artificial, top rope, indoor, and bouldering.
